"I have had the opportunity to work with Ramin Ganeshram a few times and each time I’ve learned something new. Ramin brings her past professional and personal experiences into her work as a public historian in ways that allow her to read sources in new and insightful ways. She is an incredible researcher and a gifted storyteller."

"I have partnered with Ramin on several projects and can say that working with her is a pleasure. She possesses a diversity of knowledge, in both the culinary industry and history. Along with her academic research, Ramin is a fantastic chef who created a memorable evening using actual foods that would have been available at Mount Vernon into a full 5 course meal that left our 150 guests talking for months about how amazing the food was and how Ramin shared the story behind each course. She has spoken to large groups and combines her knowledge with her fun and uplifting personality."

"Working with Ramin has really helped me to further the mission of my museum. She has been so diligent in looking for every resource to aid in our interpretive efforts. Her hard work will be the basis of a new exhibition opening in 2025 that will further explore the history of enslavement in the North. Keeping this project on track has been extremely important as the topic is so timely and helps us connect our past to our present for our community."

"Ramin’s award-winning work as a scholar/researcher, curator, and museum director provides a small window to her ability to confront historical erasures and restore BIPOC narratives with structured archival research, carefully reasoned interpretations, historical and cultural contextualization, and an accessible presentation of content for the public. Beyond developing her craft as an historian, Ramin has professional training and experience as a journalist and a chef, both which inform her academic interests to great effect. She approaches source materials with a curious and critical eye, explores nuance and fragmentary information that has led to more significant discoveries."

Ramin Ganeshram was invaluable to the development of our Hercules Posey exhibit because of her deep respect for and knowledge of Posey. That was at the forefront of everything she provided for us as our consulting historian. Further, Ramin brought a historical, culinary, curatorial, and director lens to this exhibit development project, understanding both the possibilities and challenges when using the historical record and current research to interpret Posey’s story for a younger audience.
